The Engineering and Architecture sector has taken advantage of the experience gained in the Health sector, widening its sphere of competence to the public works and to the private investments for offices and residential building.
The main strenghts of the organization are:
• A deep operating competence in the technical and procedural norms that regulate the realization of the public tasks, transferring the project directly to the construction site;
• a specialistic competence in the quantification and in the technical-economic valorization of the projects that has gradually improved succeding in offering professional warranties of the thoroughness, the "cantierabilità" and the "bancabilità" of the projects;
• an internal Project Service composed of architects, engineers and technicians of consolidated experience, who develop integrated projects, from the plans of feasibility until the definition of the site executives;
• a pool of construction managers, safety coordinators and operative managers who supervise directly the execution of every site, having at their disposal operating centers localized in the areas of the works.
• professional specialised competencies in system, structural and energetic efficiency planning, as well as in site construction safety planning and management.

STS operates, moreover, trough a network of more than 200 professionals, associate studies and engineering societies, qualified suppliers of specialistic professional services, thanks to which the society is able to maintain a flexible internal structure of project management and, at the same time, to plan timely programs of national importance.

The most qualified services provided by STS are:
• integral and coordinated project of specialistic building works of elevated technological complexity, such as university buildings, hospitals, exhibition and residential centers, business and residential centres;
• complete planning of the plants, the electromedical equipment and the furniture for buildings and hospital units highly specialized;
• activity of project management and support to the responsabile del procedimento, from the investments planning to the start of the works, inclusive of the economic-financial, legal and administrative aspects;
• technical services to the building contractors and to the general contractor for the participation to open tenders, integrated tenders and technical proposals of tender, and technical assistance on the site;
• services of verification of thoroughness and accuracy of the projects and technical control during the phase of validation of the projects, offered to the responsabile del procedimento, to the accredited societies of validation and to the insurance companies;
• verifications of correspondence to the standards and to the enforced norms concerning the real estate centres; verifications of efficiency and conformity to the norms of accreditation for the sanitary structures; law up-dating and progressive improvement of the standards of efficiency of the structures and of the plants.
